will celebrate Breast Cancer Survivor Models

Silent Auction/Raffle to raise funds for
breast cancer education at the
Phoenix Indian Medical Center

Phoenix, June, 2006 - Phoenix popular TV and radio meteorologist and former State Senator, Ed Phillips, will serve as master of ceremonies at the Banner of Hope Ninth Annual Luncheon and Fashion Show on Saturday, October 21, 2006. Mr. Phillips will lend a hand in raising funds that will be used by the Phoenix Indian Medical Center to bring new and expanded diagnostic services, improve access to treatment, and enhance educational services to American Indian and Alaska Native women with and at risk for breast cancer. Laura Tillman, M.D., F.A.C.S., Chief of Surgery at the Phoenix Indian Medical Center, will be a guest speaker.

As they have since the inception of the event, Dillards Department Stores of Arizona will graciously host the fashion show featuring both professional and breast cancer survivor models. The event will take place at the Doubletree Paradise Valley Resort and tickets are $60 per person for general seating and $75 per person for runway seating. Tables of ten are also available for purchase.

A local, non-profit organization founded by six friends in 1998, Banner of Hope is dedicated to raising funds for breast cancer prevention, education, treatment and cure. Previous beneficiaries include Scottsdale Healthcare - Breasthealth Center, the Breast Center at Phoenix Baptist Hospital, the Laura Dreier Breast Center at Banner Health System, the Breast Clinic at Mayo Clinic Scottsdale, the Arizona Institute for Breast Health, Mobile On-site Mammography and Bosom Buddies.
